HeatSmart wood pellet fuel is a clean burning and environmentally friendly alternative fuel made from wood byproducts that come primarily from sawmills. It produces very little smoke when burned. Creosote buildup is not an issue with this renewable fuel source due to the drying process before the material is made into wood pellets. HeatSmart wood pellet fuel is considered carbon neutral. When you burn wood pellet fuel, you are not contributing to the “Greenhouse Gas” effect. While fossil fuels, i.e., oil or gas, add carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, wood pellets add no more carbon dioxide to the atmosphere than that of decayed wood.

All ACP pellets are stored in plastic bags and shipped on pallets with a heavy plastic cover and then shrink-wrapped. During shipping and storage, this will help protect the product from moisture. ACP recommends that our consumers store their purchased pellet fuel in a dry, covered place, use tarps for added protection if storing outside, and elevate to prevent moisture from seeping through bottom bags.
