Premium Wood Pellets
Product Test Results
ACP Premium wood pellets are clean burning and easy to use in wood pellet stoves. Wood pellets are a renewable and sustainable energy source produced right here in the USA. This encourages
energy independence and keeps Americans working while reducing our dependence on fossil fuels like oil and gas. ACP uses material that is a byproduct of sawmill operations. This clean material is compressed into
wood pellets that are easily stored and used in a variety of applications. Depending on the current price of fuel, wood pellets are often one-third the cost of traditional fuels like heating oil and propane.
Wood pellets are carbon neutral and contain about 8200 BTU’s per pound. This means that a ton of wood pellets produces about the same BTU value as a cord of oak firewood or 120 gallons of heating oil.
Burning HeatSmart wood pellets
It is important that you regularly maintain your heating appliance to insure maximum efficiency. Just as any other home appliance, pellet stoves should also receive regular maintenance. Remove ash on a
regular basis and use an ash rake to remove ‘clinkers’. You should use an ash vacuum when performing maintenance on your pellet stove, as most regular vacuums may not properly filter the ash, causing a
fine dust to be released into the house. Check your pellet stove owner’s manual for suggested annual maintenance and be sure to clean your venting system at least once a year.
Experiencing Trouble?
First, review your owner’s manual trouble shooting section. If your pellet stove has an air damper control, check that is has the proper adjustment. Correct air and fuel feed rates are critical to ensure
proper performance. It is important to note that, even though All Pellet Fuel Institute Premium Grade Fuels are manufactured to the highest standards, burn characteristics may vary dependent upon
the manufacturer because of the differences in raw materials used to produce wood pellets.
